FAQ

What types of insurance do you accept?

We accept most insurance. Please call our front office with your insurance information and we will verify coverage prior to scheduling any appointments. We are a Medicare, Worker's Compensation, and PPO provider. At this time, we are not accepting Covered California plans.

Do I need a physician's referral for physical therapy?

We will require a prescription from your doctor for medical diagnosis and physical therapy guidelines for your specific condition. As well, most insurance companies will require an Rx from a doctor.

What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

Please bring your physician's referral or prescription for physical therapy, your insurance card, and identification. Please make sure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete necessary paperwork. You can also print the new patient intake forms located on our website and bring them completed to your appointment.

What should I wear?

We highly recommend you bring comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing or athletic wear to your appointment. Your clothes should also allow us to evaluate your area of injury. For example, if you have a knee injury, please bring shorts, if you have a shoulder injury, please wear a tank top or loose fitting T-shirt. As for footwear, we suggest comfortable, closed-toe shoes, preferably tennis shoes.

Will you keep in contact with my doctor?

After your initial evaluation we will send a copy of the initial report to your doctor along with progress reports at regular intervals.

How many times a week, and for how many weeks, will I have to come?

Frequency and duration of treatment will be determined by your physician or after the initial evaluation by your therapist. The typical frequency is 2-3 times per week.

How long will each treatment last?

Each therapy session will typically be about 60 minutes.

Should I take my medication prior to attending my physical therapy appointment?

Always take your medicine as prescribed by your doctor. If you have taken medication prior to your appointment, please inform your physical therapist.
